Michigan State football picks up a pair of 2026 crystal balls

New Michigan State football head coach Jonathan Smith has made it a priority to recruit the state of Michigan, something the last regime neglected.

The efforts of Smith appear to be paying off, landing seven Michigan prospects in 2025 (so far) and now has the Spartans trending for a pair of in-state prospects in 2026.

QB Kayd Coffman of East Kentwood High School, by way of Grand Rapids, received a crystal ball to be the Spartans QB in the 2026 class. Further, Eli Bickel, an offensive lineman from North Branch received the other crystal ball in favor of MSU.

Both pieces would be solid building blocks for MSU to build on to start 2026.
