Michigan State’s coaching staff has been left scrambling a little bit after the decommitment of Kedrick Reescano, but it appears a new name has emerged and is catapulting himself to the top of the recruiting board.
The Spartans have sent out an offer Javin Simpkins, a Miami native that attends Norland High School. Simpkins has been committed to Georgia Tech since July, but with a coaching change looming, it has opened the door for the Spartans.
According to ESPN, Simpkins is a 4-star prospect that ranks as the No. 18 running back and No. 269 overall recruit in the 2023 recruiting class.
Look for the Spartans to host Simpkins on an official visit within the next 4 to 6 weeks.
