Michigan State is making an addition to the roster late into camp, adding a graduate transfer from Auburn. Kicker Ben Patton will be joining Michigan State.
There had been an ongoing kicking battle between true freshman Jack Stone and walk-on sophomore Stephen Rusnak, which Patton will now be entering, and most likely will have a stronghold on the position with his experience at Auburn.
Michigan State has added kicker Ben Patton to its roster, grad transfer from Auburn, per a program spokesperson.

At Auburn, Patton was a perfect 8-of-8 on extra points, and went 5-for-6 on field goals with a long of 49.
