Michigan State basketball hosts Buffalo on Friday in their final non-conference matchup of the season against the Bulls, and if you’re wondering how you can watch the action live, you’ve come to the right place.
The Spartans enter this matchup with wins in their last three games and a record of 8-4 on the year. Michigan State last took the court on Dec. 21 — which was a sloppy victory over Oakland.
Buffalo enters this non-conference battle with wins in five of their last seven games and a record of 6-6 on the year. The Bulls have lost by 18 points in each of their previous two matchups against major conference teams — UConn and West Virginia.

Three Things to Watch
Here are three things to watch out for in this matchup between Michigan State and Buffalo:
Malik Hall’s return to lineup: One of the Spartans’ top players — forward Malik Hall — is expected to return to the lineup against Buffalo. Hall hasn’t played since Michigan State beat Villanova in mid November, and is expected to be gradually worked back into the lineup starting with Buffalo on Friday.
Avoiding sloppy performance after long break: Michigan State struggled out of the gates against Oakland — which was off a 11-day break. This matchup for the Spartans will be off a nine day break, so it would be great to see Michigan State avoid a similar sloppy start and overall performance against the Bulls.
Lineup rotation for Michigan State: With Hall coming back into the lineup, it’ll be interesting to see how Tom Izzo rotates the lineups. Will Hall start or come off the bench? How will that effect minutes for others like Pierre Brooks? This game against the Bulls could be telling for how the next few games will go with conference play beginning again next week.
Game Prediction
Prediction: MSU 77, Buffalo 62
Buffalo is better than Oakland so if the Spartans come out rusty as they did against the Grizzlies then this could turn into a disaster. However, I expect a better performance and a little bit of extra juice from Michigan State with Hall’s return in a semi-comfortable victory to wrap up non-conference play.
