In some interesting news that was just announced, Michigan State basketball will host Southern Indiana on Nov. 9 in the Breslin Center as part of their early season ramp-up.
The Screaming Eagles joined Division I last year after historically being a Division II program, and head coach Stan Gouard has been determined to match them up against strong Division I talent as they continue to improve their program. Last year, Southern Indiana faced Missouri and Notre Dame. This year they will face MSU and Duke.
The match-up will take place three days after the Spartans host James Madison at home and five days before they play Duke in the Champion’s Classic.
Southern Indiana went 16-17 last year in their first season in the top division.
