Tom Izzo has been hitting the recruiting trail hard since the conclusion of the 2021-22 season, most notably making a lot of headway with 2023 center Xavier Booker. While in Indianapolis watching the EYBL Session 2, coach Izzo has identified a new prospect in the 2023 recruiting class he would like to pursue, extending an offer to Devin Royal.

Royal is a native of Pickerington, Ohio, attending Pickerington Central High School. He is a 6-foot-6, 210-pound wing that excels at scoring on all three levels and provides the versatility to play the 2, 3 or 4 spots in a rotation.
Royal holds scholarship offers from 11 power 6 programs and most notably from Florida State, Illinois and Ohio State.
Look for Michigan State to try and get Royal up to East Lansing for a visit in the near future.
