After getting shocked in the season opener by one of the best mid-major teams out there, James Madison, Michigan State basketball has dropped 15 spots in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll, now down to No. 19.
In terms of the Big Ten, Purdue still leads the way at No. 2, and then MSU is the next highest Big Ten team. Illinois is the only other Big Ten team that is ranked, coming in at No. 23.
