Michelle Troconis Convicted In Jennifer Dulos Murder Case

Defense attorney Audrey Felsen, left, and her client, Michelle Troconis, consult in court on day seven of Michelle Troconis' criminal trial at Connecticut Superior Court in Stamford, Conn., Monday, Ja

Michelle Troconis has been convicted of aiding her late boyfriend Fotis Dulos in the murder of his estranged wife Jennifer Dulos in 2019. The 49-year-old was found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder, tampering with evidence, and hindering the prosecution, facing a maximum sentence of 50 years in prison.

Carrie Luft, a friend of the Dulos family, emphasized that the verdict signifies accountability rather than victory, as Jennifer's five children are left without their mother. Despite the conviction, Jennifer's body has not been found, leaving a painful gap for her loved ones.

Jennifer Dulos, a mother of five, disappeared in May 2019 after dropping her children at school. Fotis Dulos, who authorities believe murdered his wife with Troconis' assistance, died by suicide in January 2020 before facing trial.

During the trial, prosecutors presented blood-soaked clothing allegedly worn by Jennifer on the day of her murder. They described how Fotis attacked her at home, restrained her, killed her, and disposed of her body. Troconis was seen in surveillance footage sitting in Fotis' truck as he discarded evidence related to the crime.

The relationship between Troconis and Jennifer was contentious, with testimony revealing threats made by Troconis towards Jennifer. The divorce between Fotis and Jennifer was acrimonious, marked by a custody battle over their children.

Despite the guilty verdict for Troconis, Jennifer's family continues to seek closure regarding her whereabouts. Jennifer was declared legally dead in October, but her family hopes that renewed public interest in the case may lead to new leads.

The family expressed gratitude for the verdict while emphasizing the enduring memory of Jennifer's kindness and the impact she had on her children's lives.
