Michelle McManus 'honoured' after taking on chieftain role at highland games

Michelle McManus says it was an honour to take on the role of chieftain at the Mallaig and Morar Highland Games. The Scots singer and former TV presenter has shared pictures on Instagram wearing a lilac dress with tartan shawl.

In her post, the star said: "What a day. Thank you to everyone who came to the @malllaigandmorarhighlandgames yesterday and to all of the organisers who worked so hard to make it such a success. It was an honour to be your chieftain."

Last month, the former Pop Idol winner made her comeback to stage for one night only for a performance at East Kilbride Village Theatre. Earlier this year, the 41-year-old announced the birth of her second child.

Michelle, who already has a son, Harry, who was born in February 2020, said she wasn't sure how any month in 2022 would top this one.

Michelle and husband Jeff named their new baby boy Nicholas Peter Nimmo.
