The former Corrie actress, 33, took a trip to her hair salon just before the lockdown and was left extremely impressed by the results.
She went a darker brunette and added some blonde highlights around her face, achieving a more "contoured" look.
Her talented hairdresser Calum Tierney posted a video of Michelle's stunning new hair on Instagram and the star looked amazed at her new hairdo.
Calum zoomed in on the video to show off the honey-blonde face-framing highlights to his fans, while the Our Girl star posed for the camera.
Michelle's new style was hailed as "very nice" and "chic" by her fans who commented on Calum's video.
The former soap star's new hair is similar to the process of makeup contouring.
The hair process is described as "a combination of free hand application and highlighting, paired with the careful positioning of different tones and depths around the face to highlight and shadow targeted areas" - according to L'Oreal Professional.
The star is a huge fan of the hair process as it helps frame her face by the hair reflecting light.

The wife of Mark Wright was recently forced to self-isolate after she was exposed to the coronavirus during a photoshoot in Manchester.
However Michelle seems to be fine and in the Christmas spirit as she decorated her home with festivity to bring some joy amid the second lockdown.
