The no-holds barred scene sent fans even further into meltdown before the first eight minutes of the show ended, with Michelle’s character Erin telling her on-screen lover Dylan to “finish on my t*ts.”

Meanwhile, someone else stated: “Michelle keegan is something else completely. Out. Of. This. World.”

Speaking about why she took the role, Michelle said: “It was the script that won me over.

“When I got sent the first few episodes I remember laughing out loud and straight away it had me hooked.

“I can relate to all the characters as well, I don’t know why. I think it’s the humour. I just related to it and it made me laugh. It felt like something that I was really excited about and I wanted to get involved in.

“The characters that Joe has come up with are all completely different and not ones you would necessarily think of in a northern based show, that’s what I loved about this show from the beginning.”

Brassic is on Thursdays at 10pm on Sky One and Now TV
