Michelle Keegan's changing look: Corrie teen to boyband girlfriend to hot actress

Michelle Keegan has been a household name ever since she joined Coronation Street as the fresh-faced love interest of resident bad boy David Platt.

After beating around 900 others to the role of Corrie's Tina McIntyre, Michelle quickly became a firm favourite on the cobbles from the age of 20.

Now 34 years old and married to former TOWIE star Mark Wright, she's grown up in front of the nation's eyes.

She's one of the nation's most beloved actresses and is as envied for her stunning figure and natural beauty as she is for her acting skills.

Let's take a look at her transformation over the years....

Michelle was a fresh-faced young adult when she landed her part in Corrie.

And boy did her character go through a lot.

She had romances with David Platt, Dr Matt Carter, Tommy Duckworth and even married Peter Barlow, among others.

Her death on the ITV soap was just as dramatic, with her thrown from the balcony of the builders' yard and beaten to death by Rob Donovan.

She said as she announced her departure: "I have had the most amazing six years at Coronation Street and it was such a difficult decision to leave.

"But I felt it was the right time for me to make the next step in my career. I will miss Tina and will always be grateful to ITV and Coronation Street for giving me such an amazing role to play for my first ever acting job."

Physically, she's changed a lot since her days on the cobbles, but of course it's been a long time since she made her debut.

Our Girl - 2016 to 2020

Michelle joined the cast of Our Girl in 2016 after her departure from Corrie.

Landing the part of Lance Corporal Georgie Lane, she was widely praised for her role, and debuted a much more grown up look than she had in her Corrie days.

And she even recently teased that she could be returning to the show, after it was axed by the BBC.

She said: "I always get asked this actually and, you know what? I’ll never say never. The door has been left open for her so, who knows, in a couple of years we might see Georgie again."

She'd quit the military drama after four years in 2020, saying at the time: "I’ve had the most incredible four years on the show and I want to thank the BBC for giving me such an amazing opportunity.

"Playing Georgie has been a life changing role for me. I’ve loved every second of the adventure so it was a very hard decision to make not to return. I feel it is the right time to explore other exciting opportunities but I’m so happy to be part of the new series coming soon so it’s not the end just yet."

Plebs - 2016

Michelle shocked fans in 2016 when she acted in her first sex scene in comedy Plebs.

Her character romped with Joel Fry's Stylax on the show, set in Ancient Rome, and she confessed he'd actually had a great time filming what some might think are awkward scenes.

She told The Sun at the time: "It was fine, actually. I was playing it with Joel and he was so lovely.

"It was nerve-racking but he was so relaxed and calm that it helped me. Then afterwards I was like, 'Is that it?'

"It was really nothing to be bothered about. Now I can say I've been in a sex scene and it was actually quite fun."

And of course, she looked as stunning as ever as she did it.

Brassic - 2019 to present

Michelle landed another comedy role in 2019 when she teamed up with Joe Gilgun for Brassic.

And by this point in her career, sex scenes became second nature to her.

Although she admitted that she'd banned her family from watching the show because of her raunchy scenes.

She told Radio Times: "That first episode, I didn’t let my family watch until 15 minutes in, and we all know why!

"I did a family message to everyone when that episode first came out saying ‘it starts now at quarter past, so please don’t put the TV on before then, I’m not going to explain why but don’t’ and they promised me that they didn’t."

Engaged to Max - 2010 to 2012

Michelle dated The Wanted star Max George from 2010 to 2012, becoming a total it-couple of the moment, regularly turning heads on the red carpet.

They were envied by an entire generation of people who lusted over the sexy stars.

And after the breakdown of their engagement, Max opened up to say it was his drinking problem that had pulled them apart.

He told The Sun in 2013: "I had a real problem with drinking too much and that was, without doubt, the downfall of our relationship.

"I was drinking more to forget the fact I was with someone who wasn't making me that happy. Michelle is seen as like Britain's Sweetheart nowadays, I understand it might have looked as if there was something to hide, [but] there was no betrayal in terms of cheating."

He added: "I tried to kid myself it would work out OK, but the moment she said she didn't want to be engaged anymore I know that something was wrong. It was a whirlwind. I don't regret it because you shouldn't regret anything you do. You learn."

Married to Mark - 2013 to present

Romance-wise, Michelle got her happily ever after in 2013 when she met TOWIE star Mark Wright.

He popped the question nine months later and they tied the knot in May 2015.

The couple are currently building their dream home in Essex, and have spoken out a number of times over the years to defend their relationship.

People have raised questions in the past about how their relationship works, with them often working on often sides of the world.

And she's admitted that spending so much time apart can sometimes be hard. She once said on The Jonathan Ross Show: "He got the job in LA while I was in Malaysia [filming Our Girl].

"We were apart for about four months. It was really tough. People said, 'How did you deal with it?' and stuff.

"Thank God for FaceTime and things like that."

She's also previously blasted the people who quiz her over when she's going to have a baby with her husband.

She told The Sun: "It’s horrible. It’s like, 'You’re 32. Are you not planning to have a baby yet?'

"People don’t know if we’re trying. They don’t know the background of what’s happening. It’s no one else’s business. In this day and age you shouldn’t ask questions like that.

"I’m asked purely because I’m a woman. But I’m immune to it now — it’s like a reaction and as soon as I hear it I brush it off, as it’s no one else’s business."

Changing looks

While Michelle's looks have changed a lot over the years, with some people even suggesting she's had surgery, Michelle has insisted it's something she'd never do.

She once said: "I like the fact people point out that they think I’ve had a nose job. They think I’ve had new cheeks, a new chin, but I haven’t and I don’t think I ever would, if I’m being honest. I’m scared it would go wrong."
