Michelle Keegan has shared her next career move with fans after posting a poolside picture on Instagram. The former Coronation Street actress announced that she is taking on a new TV role and it is completely different to those that she has become renowned for on the small screen, reports the Manchester Evening News.
The 35-year-old, who is married to ex-TOWIE star Mark Wright, played Tina McIntyre in Coronation Street from 2008 to 2014 when her character was killed. She has since featured as Sergeant Georgie Lane in the BBC drama series Our Girl and continues to star as Erin Croft in the hit Sky comedy show Brassic.
But Michelle has told her 6.4 million Instagram followers that her next project will be a new Netflix thriller series called Fool Me Once - an adaptation of Harlan Coben's book. She revealed the news by captioning a picture of herself wearing a bikini whilst on a sun lounger reading the best-selling novel.
Michelle also posted a second picture that gave away her character's name "Maya" on what appeared to be a sign on a dressing room trailer door, along with another shot of her filming the show. Her Instagram post read: "Finally the secret's out!!
"I'm over the moon to be joining the cast of FOOL ME ONCE, a @netflixuk thriller based on the book by the extremely talented @harlancoben. Here we gooooo …"
American writer Coben has been responsible for some of Netflix's biggest mystery dramas including The Stranger, Stay Close and Safe, which were all based on his novels.
