Our Girl and Brassic star Michelle Keegan says she misses being on Coronation Street.
Michelle, whose character Tina McIntyre was brutally murdered by neighbour Rob Donovan, left Corrie in 2014.
Barmaid Tina plunged from the balcony of the builders' yard before being beaten to death with a lead pipe by twisted Rob.
Speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show Michelle said: “I definitely do miss it. It’s such a cliché thing to say, it’s such a family there, but I’ve never regretted my decision to leave.”
Praising the soap that she joined in 2008 the Irlam actress said: "They write strong females so well. I’ll say to everyone, for me that was like the best platform I could ever, ever ask for.
"I love playing strong females. Even since I left Corrie five and a half years ago, the characters I’ve played since then, touch wood, have been amazing.”
Michelle, who plays Corporal Georgie Lane in the BBC army drama Our Girl, also lifted the lifts the lid on working in different countries to her husband Mark Wright while Mark was busy in LA as host of entertainment show Extra.
“He got the job in LA while I was in Malaysia (filming Our Girl).
"We were apart for about four months. It was really tough.
"People said how did you deal with it and stuff. Thank god for FaceTime and things like that.
"You’re on a countdown the whole time to just get home. I had six months off when I went home, so I went to America.”
Speaking about the Sky comedy drama Brassic, which is filmed in and around Lancashire and Manchester, she said: “I've really enjoyed it. I’ve never done comedy before as well.
"It’s the first comedy series I’ve done. Little bits I’ve done comedy. Even on Corrie, elements of it on there, but first comedy series I’ve done.”
The Jonathan Ross Show is aired on ITV at 10.30pm tomorrow (Saturday September 21).
