Michelle Keegan looks so different in family snaps taken 14 years apart

Michelle Keegan looked almost unrecognisable as she posed alongside a few of her family members before comparing it to a similar photo taken more than a decade ago.

The Brassic actress took to Instagram on Sunday night (May 22) to wish her cousin, Gemma, a happy birthday. And she did so in typical family style as she whipped out a throwback photo and posted it to her Instagram Stories for her millions of followers to see.

She shared two photos which were taken 14 years apart, both of which saw her standing in between to her three cousins, including Gemma, Katie, and Lauren. The four-piece struck the same pose, standing in a line, turning to the side to smile for the camera while also being placed in height order.

And Michelle, 34, looked noticeably different. The first snap showed the former Coronation Street star smiling in a floral dress with her trademark brunette locks styled into curls as they rested over her shoulders. In the second photo, Michelle was pictured in a grey tank top showing off her toned arms while her long tresses had been tied back into a high ponytail.

Michelle wrote under the side-by-side images: "14 years apart." with a heart emoji. She then added: "Happy birthday to my big cuz Gem-ma" with a laughing emoji and another heart emoji.

It comes after the actress, who played Tina McIntyre in Corrie between 2008 and 2014, took to Instagram to tell her 5.7 million followers that she was jetting off on a new adventure. Michelle was smiles as she donned a casual green tracksuit, paired with white chunky trainers and a black bag as she was photographed pushing several suitcases at the airport.

Captioning the post, she wrote: "Annnnnd she’s off" with the yellow heart and airplane emoji. She also shared a quote that read: "The greatest danger in life is not taking the adventure." And while she did not specify where she was heading off to, fans were quick to speculate after her family and friends jumped in to leave their comments.

Mother-in-law Carol Wright, the mum of Michelle's husband Mark Wright, said: "Go and smash it my darling," while Mark's younger sister Natalya wrote: "Proud of you."

James 'Arg' Argent, who is best friends with Mark, commented: "Good luck Michelle, Can’t wait to see your work. So excited for you," and Hollyoaks star Lucy-Jo Hudson, who also previously starred in Corrie, added: "Excited to hear all about it! Good luck beautiful."

And fans made it very clear what they wanted Michelle's secret project to be. @n_g2891 wrote: "Please say your off to film for OUR GIRL." @tclloydx said: "If this is for our girl i will not be physically okay."

@ingridpemble commented: "It would be off the scale if she was off to film #ourgirl @michkeegan we can hope." @hag0605 replied: "To film another series of Our Girl???????? Go on you know you want to."
