Michelle Heaton has said that daughter Faith Hanley is her "biggest security guard," revealing that the 10-year-old even warns her not to get tempted by booze at the supermarket.
The singer, 42, has been open about her past alcoholism, which led to her spending six months at the Priory last year - with her recently celebrating 14 months of sobriety.
She spoke candidly about life as a recovering addict in a recent interview, in which she said her children Faith, 10, and AJ Hanley, seven, weren't initially aware of her issues.
The Liberty X member - who shares her children with husband Hugo Hanley - further commented that her eldest child has been protective of her since her stint in rehab.
She said to Bella magazine that Faith told friends that their parents should bring coffee - not prosecco - whenever they come to Michelle's house, as reported by the Daily Mail.
Michelle further commented: "She's my biggest security guard. When we go shopping, she'll say 'Mummy, don't look' when we go past the wine aisle. She's my best friend."
She said that Faith is "really proud" of her, with Michelle adding the feeling is mutual, with her adding that her daughter has "been through a lot" but handled things well.
Michelle has been open about her experience with addiction, previously admitting that at her lowest point she pray for someone to help or she had "just wanted to die."
She has described addiction as like having an affair, with her once saying: "I was in love with alcohol. There's the sneaking around, the lies. It's protection of your addiction."
The mother-of-two previously said that she became "so ill" through her addiction that she lost weight but her stomach became swollen - prior to seeking professional help.
Encouraging others to seek help, she said: "You never know what somebody's going through and if you need help out there, just reach out and ask for it. There is so much help."
As reported by the Daily Mail, Michelle has said she had "no idea" she could live a "clean and sober" life without alcohol. She has commented: "I live a really happy, free life now."
