Michelle Heaton has been sober for nine months and one week - and she is healthier than ever.
The former Liberty X singer, 42, has previously been open about her battle with alcohol and how it affected not only her life, but her loved ones, too.
In a podcast episode for Netmums' Sweat, Snot and Tears, Michelle talked to hosts Annie and Wendy about how her daughter Faith found out about her addiction and how she told her friends at school.
But most heartbreaking of all, 10-year-old Faith thought her mum was "allergic to wine".
"The kids know everything. If they ask a question, I'll tell them," Michelle explained.
She continued: "In fairness, during a really difficult time, when I was in The Priory, one of the mums from school had text me.
"We were only allowed our phones for like an hour a day. She said, 'Oh my God I had no idea. My daughter's just told me'.
"I'm like, 'OK'. I never looked at social media when I was in there, my manager told me not to. It was everywhere, I found out when I came out. They knew I was in before I was in. I didn't see any social media at all, but it was obviously everywhere."
Michelle added: "The daughter got told by Faith. She went to school and said to everybody in the class, 'Mummy's allergic to wine. So if your mummy comes round, she can't bring Prosecco anymore, it's only coffee'."
Annie and Wendy shared an emotional laugh as Michelle then said: "That's what she does in general. Even now, we go to the supermarket and I look at the nought point nought per cent Prosecco.
"She's getting the bottle and she's looking at it, and in fairness she pointed out on one of them it was nought point five per cent, not nought point nought five per cent.
"I was like, 'Thank you so much, that is why you're my daughter - and she's my little bodyguard."
The songstress then said her addiction meant Faith was "forced to grow up quickly" but now she is a "better mum" to her children.
Michelle said: "How it's affected her - she had to grow up really quickly I suppose.
"And that's unfortunate, but all I can do is be a better mum now, which I really am.
"It's not too late - it's never too late, no matter how old your kids are, if you're suffering from this disease. Kids are so forgiving. I never had to say sorry to the kids, because my living amends, the way I am sober and present."
