Michelle Heaton 'gutted' as Dancing On Ice fans blast cruel twist and 'unfair' marking

Dancing On Ice star Michelle Heaton has shared her heartbreak after leaving the competion without having the chance to fight for her place in the skate-off.

The former Liberty X star, 43, told fans that she was gutted over the departure, but also acknowledged viewers' frustration over "unfair" marking.

Sharing a video of her and her two children, she thanked fans' support during her time on the programme.

"Aw guys, I'm absolutely gutted," she said as she spoke from backstage, while her son AJ, eight, jumped in and said: "We are so sad."

Unimpressed viewers flocked to Twitter over Sunday night's marking, branding the judges "harsh" over their negative critique of Michelle.

Sadly, for the first time ever, there was no skate-off either - meaning that Michelle wasn't able to battle for her place in next week's show.
