This could fit with previous information we’ve received about Emmerdale’s 50th anniversary. There’s lots planned for October’s milestone with the storylines expected to leave repercussions which will come to a head at Christmas.
At a recent press conference publicising Emmerdale’s upcoming storylines, boss Jane Hudson, said: “We’ve only just story-lined it and issued the storylines for Christmas last week. There’s a lot happening but that’s your only clue.”
Although she did add: “We will be ending that month (October’s 50th anniversary) with a storyline which kicks off a whole new story and sees one of our characters potentially spending the rest of their life in jail. I’m not going to tell you anything else about that story.”
It remains to be seen whether she might be Michelle’s character Vanessa Woodfield. We'll keep you posted.
