Michelin Guide has revealed when it will announce who has been awarded Michelin stars, green stars and Bib Gourmand awards for 2022.
There were six Welsh restaurants given Michelin stars in last year's guide although one subsequently closed.
Others may be hoping to join the elite group when this year's awards are announced.
Those defending their stars or hoping to move up from one star this year are:
- Ynyshir, Machynlleth.
Walnut Tree, Llanddewi Skirrid.
- Sosban & The Old Butchers, Menai Bridge.
- Beach House, Oxwich.
- The Whitebrook, Whitebrook.
There are two restaurants with a Michelin Bib Gourmand. These awards highlights restaurants offering good food at competitive prices.
- Hare & Hounds, Aberthin.
- Bryn Williams at Porth Eirias, Colwyn Bay.
One restaurant in Wales has a Michelin Green Star. These highlight restaurants that are at the forefront of the industry when it comes to their sustainable practices.
- Henry Robertson – Palé Hall, Llandderfel.
There are also a host of Michelin recognised restaurants in Wales.
On February 15 and 16, the Guide will unveil the new Michelin Stars, Green Stars and Special Awards for Great Britain and Ireland 2022.
Due to the on-going pandemic, this year’s presentation will be held in a digital format only.
The first course will be dished up on Friday February 11 when the new Bib Gourmand restaurants will be revealed.
There will be "special awards" on Tuesday February 15 including Chef-Mentor, Young Chef, Service, Sommelier and Newcomer.
On Wednesday February 16 new Michelin Stars will be revealed, along with the new Green Stars for sustainability.
Gwendal Poullennec, international director of the Michelin Guides said: "Naturally we are disappointed that we are unable to host this event in person, as we know how much everyone enjoys these occasions.
"However, we can promise you that these days will be full of exciting news, as we have many wonderful new awards to reveal."
