Michael Stewart believes St Mirren's second goal in the win over Celtic would've been ruled out by VAR.
The state of the art technology is set to be introduced in the Scottish Premiership after the World Cup - but as things stand it is not in play in Scotland's top league. The Hoops trailed to Mark O'Hara's header with just three minutes to play in the first half before Jonah Ayunga added a second, much to the delight of the home fans and players.
The second goal gave the Buddies a cushion going into the final stages of the game but there was a hint of offside - but the referee allowed the goal. However, BBC pundit Stewart admits it was offside, although it would be very, very difficult for the officials to call. But with VAR in play he knows the goal would be overruled.

Speaking on BBC Sportscene, the former Hearts and Hibs midfielder said: "Technically I think it is offside. But there is a bit of pushing and shoving there from both players.
"Stephen Welsh has got a good firm hold of the jersey of Ayunga and he probably does shove him a little bit, it's weak though.
"I think this goal is indicative of the performance. You see Curtis Main, the desire. He gets above and bullies Jenz and it's the same at the back post with Ayunga.
"You can see that Ayunga's offside but it's tight and very, very difficult for the linesman to see definitively. If it was VAR, yes it probably would've been chalked off."
Ange Postecoglou made six changes to his side that picked up a share of the points against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
It didn't pay off as Celtic lost their 100 per cent start to the season and their long-standing unbeaten run that stretched almost a year.
He continued: "There's a lot of hindsight in this in regards to too many changes and whatever. It's only a few short weeks ago that they went up to Ross County and made nine changes in the Premier Sports Cup and that performance level was very high.
"So it's very easy to say after the game they made too many changes but you can understand why Postecoglou's done that because it's a strong squad."
