Michael Owen's 'savage' message to daughter Gemma as she leaves family holiday

Michael Owen has been dubbed "savage" after sending a six word message to daughter Gemma after she left their family holiday to return to the UK.

Gemma Owen coupled up with fishmonger Luca Bish in the latest season of Love Island as the couple finished runners-up to Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu in the ITV dating show. The couple has since enjoyed their first holiday together, joining Gemma's family and friends in Portugal.

While they were away, Gemma filmed some new content for her swimwear business, OG. And Luca finally got to meet former Liverpool and Manchester United star, Michael Owen.

With busy schedules, Gemma and Luca left the holiday early. Michael has since posted a family photo on Instagram.

Gemma quickly commented on the post, saying: "I was there for 4 days and you wait till I leave to get a family picture". Michael replied: "Part timers don’t make the cut."

His comment has quickly racked up thousands of likes, with many fans also joining in. Donna Fox said: "Ooofff shots fired", while Kanwal Hussain said: "Ooh savage" and Roxy said: "Loving the banter".

Luca also commented on the post, referring to the "-1" part of Michael's caption, he added: "-2*".
