Michael Owen has broken his silence on rumours he will enter the Love Island villa.
The former Liverpool FC striker's daughter, Gemma, is participating on this season of the popular dating programme. The 19-year-old has been one of the major talking points in the series and is coupled up with Luca Bish.
The two have endured a rollercoaster relationship in the Majorcan villa, but fans now seem to be fully behind their romance and bookies have tipped them to be one of this season's finalists. Betting comparison site Oddschecker has Gemma and Luca as the second favourites to win with odds at 5/2.

It is a tradition on Love Island that the finalists welcome their parents and family into the villa to introduce them to their new partners. However, the BT Sports pundit has shot down claims he will appear on the show.
He told Sky Sports At The Races: "My wife will do that duty. I'll represent the horses and she'll represent the daughter. He added: "I don't know what I'll get from Box To Box. But I know what I'm going to get from my daughter.
"I've fathered her for 19 years so I'm pretty sure what I'm going to get from her."
