Michael Obafemi scored an absolute cracker for the Republic of Ireland to extend their lead to 3-0 against Scotland on Saturday evening.
The Swansea striker was handed a first senior start for the Boys in Green in the Nations League clash.
The 21-year-old was included in one of five changes to Stephen Kenny’s line-up as he, James McClean, Alan Browne, Jayson Molumby and Troy Parrott replaced Cyrus Christie, Enda Stevens, Jeff Hendrick, the injured Chiedozie Ogbene and Callum Robinson, from the side which started the 1-0 defeat to Ukraine on Wednesday night.
And Obafemi seized the opportunity, assisting Troy Parrott for Ireland's second goal before scoring a screamer, with former Ireland international Stephen Elliott describing it as "one of the best goals ever seen" at the Aviva Stadium.
The youngster went down minutes later and received huge applause from the Irish fans as he was taken off, with Scott Hogan replacing him.
A number of people took to social media to have their say on the goal.
One said: "Obafemi……Jesus Christ….That strike was something else."
Another commented: "Obafemi with a world class goal and world class assist today."
Someone else posted: "Goal (outrageous), Assist, alright Obafemi relax there. First start. Legend."
