A Hollywood stuntman who played Michael Myers in the iconic Halloween franchise has died at the age of 81.
George P. Wilbur, who is often remembered as one of the most memorable actors to don the Michael Myers mask in Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers, passed away on Wednesday night. However, his cause of death is yet to be confirmed.
The stuntman started his career as a stand-on-actor for John Wayne after working as an extra in the 1966 movie El Dorado. Following the news of his passing, tributes from Hollywood stars and fans have come flooding in, the Mirror reports.

Fellow Halloween stuntman Christopher Durand said: "George P. Wilbur passed away last night. George, you were a class act and well loved. You will be missed."
Actor Spencer Charnas tweeted: "RIP to one of my favorite Michael Myers actors of all time, George P. Wilbur. One of the first horror stars I ever met was George back at the original Spooky World in 97’. A class act and true legend."
One fan wrote: "George Wilbur has always been one of my favorite versions of Michael Myers and I'm sad to hear he passed away."
"Rest in peace, George Wilbur. Halloween 4 and 6 are personal faves," another said. A third fan, paying tribute to George, wrote: "Rest In Peace to the great George P. Wilbur - legendary stuntman and Michael Myers actor in #Halloween 4 and 6.
"Never got to meet him myself, but I've only ever heard really kind things about him. He will be missed."
