Actor Michael Kopsa, who starred in Smallville and much more, has died at the age of 66.
Canadian actor Michael's family announced the sad news as they revealed his cause of death.
The Canadian actor's family revealed Michael died on October 23 due to "complications from a brain tumour".
Michael's ex-wife Lucia Frangione wrote a post confirming the sad news on her Instagram page.
As she shared a photo of the actor, with whom she shared daughter Nora with, Lucia wrote in the caption: "The great Michael Kopsa passed away Oct 23 2022 of a brain tumour.
"He was an incredible stage and screen actor, voice actor, musician, carpenter, painter, and most importantly a present and loving father to our Nora.
"I will miss you fiercely my dear friend and co-parent."
Michael was born in Toronto in January 1956 and moved to New York to study at the Circle in the Square theatre school for four years.
He later went back to Canada to finish his education at the University of Toronto, where he earned a degree in arts and science.
The actor then went on to undertake a series of roles throughout his career on screen – with 227 performance credits in his career.
He starred as Rick Culver in The X Files and played Brady in a TV adaption of Honey I Shrunk The Kids.
Michael also appeared in Stargate SG-1, Smallville – where he played Dean Winters – X Men: Evolution and Fantastic Four, where he played Ned Cecil.
He also appeared in multiple films for the Hallmark channel including It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas, Love in Winterland, Marrying Father Christmas and Valentine in the Vineyard.
The channel posted a tribute to their Instagram page as they shared a photo of Michael and wrote: "A friend and colleague to many, today we honor the legacy of Michael Kopska. Always in our hearts".
Michael also undertook work as a voice actor in animations including Ninjago, Dragon Ball Z, Action Man, X-Men: Evolution, Iron Man: Armored Adventures, Planet Hulk Alien Racers and Princess Castle.
Fellow voice actor Mark Hildreth paid tribute as he tweeted a photo of Michael and wrote: "Dear #MichaelKopsa. You were so loved. Rest In Peace my friend."
Meanwhile fans paid their respects too, as one shared: "RIP Michael Kopsa, who played Char from 2001 to 2011. this is one of my favorite line reads of all time - it sounds like he's struggling to find the words to describe this sensation - a delivery that was only possible because he didn't have to worry about lip flaps".
"I'm a huge fan of 0079's English voice cast. Each Gundam between then and up to Char's Counter Attack are wonderfully executed. One of the pillars which made it iconic for the likes of me was what Michael Kopsa brought with his portrayal of Char. Rest in peace," another added.
A third wrote: "Today we recognize Michael Kopsa who has sadly passed away recently. While his loss is saddening, let us try to celebrate his life and cherish his voicework as Samukai and Vex in Ninjago."
