Michael Jordan's Son Arrested For Cocaine Possession And Speeding

Marcus Jordan American basketball player.

Marcus Jordan, the son of basketball legend Michael Jordan, was recently involved in a concerning incident with law enforcement officers in Florida. The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office dashcam video captured Jordan speeding away from deputies in his Lamborghini SUV before being apprehended.

Following a chase, officers from the Maitland Police Department discovered Jordan's vehicle stuck on railroad tracks in a suburb, with a commuter train approaching. The SUV's tires were found buried in dirt and rock, indicating repeated spinning.

Jordan was subsequently arrested on various charges, including cocaine possession and resisting an officer without violence. When asked to exit the vehicle due to suspicion of alcohol consumption, officers noted his slurred speech and confusion. A bag containing a substance testing positive for cocaine was reportedly found in his possession.

During the encounter, Jordan identified himself as Michael Jordan's son and claimed he was merely trying to find his way home after making a wrong turn. Following his arrest, he was booked into the Orange County Jail and declined to speak with the media upon release.

At 34 years old, Marcus Jordan, who previously pursued basketball at the University of Central Florida, has largely maintained a low profile. Notably, he gained public attention for his relationship with Larsa Pippen, the former wife of Scottie Pippen, a former teammate of his father. The couple parted ways in 2024 after a two-year relationship.

This is not the first time Marcus Jordan has faced legal issues, as he previously pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct and resisting arrest in a 2012 incident in Omaha, Nebraska. While initially charged with obstructing a police officer, this charge was dropped as part of a plea agreement.
