Michael Jordan’s game-worn shoes from fifth NBA game sell for $624,000

The Chicago Bulls ran the show in the 1990s. With Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen at the helm, the Bulls won six championships in eight seasons, enjoying their greatest stretch in franchise history. And in addition to their on-court success, Jordan’s fame off the court brought a ton of attention to Chicago.

Jordan is one of the most popular NBA superstars of all time, and his name might top that list. Fans are obsessed with the former Bull, and at a recent auction, the shoes he wore in his fifth-ever NBA game sold for an insane price – over half a million dollars.

According to Goldin Auctions, the shoes went for a ridiculous $624,000 in an auction. The game-used, signed sneakers are the earliest-recorded shoes worn by Jordan in an NBA game. (H/t Mike Chiari of Bleacher Report)

Any sort of Jordan memorabilia is bound to fetch a pretty penny at an auction of any sort, and considering the impact the Bulls star has had in the sneaker world, it’s unsurprising that his game-worn shoes went for such a high price.
