Martyn Margetson is set to return to Swansea City this summer, WalesOnline understands.
The 51-year-old is poised to replace Dean Thornton, who left to join Russell Martin at Southampton, as goalkeeping coach in SA1, where he will work under new boss Michael Duff.
Margetson, who originally hails from Neath, was initially part of the Wales set-up for five years and was Gary Speed's first backroom appointment in 2011.

He was also part of the set-up when Chris Coleman's side enjoyed a magical run to the semi-finals of Euro 2016, before later leaving to join Sam Allardyce at England.
The Welshman has remained part of the Three Lions set-up ever since, and has been a key part of Gareth Southgate's coaching team, with England reaching a World Cup semi-final, UEFA Nations League semi-final and Euro 2020 final in that time.
He has previously combined his duties with England with several positions at club level, including Crystal Palace and Everton, and joined Swansea upon the arrival of Steve Cooper in 2019.
Russell Martin's appointment saw Margetson depart the Swansea.com Stadium in 2021, but Duff has moved to bring him back into the fold as part of his new-look coaching team.
It's understood he will once again continue to combine his role with his work with England.
Margetson's imminent arrival comes after assistant coaches Martin Paterson and Alan Sheehan were unveiled on Wednesday, with both coaches understood to have already started working with the squad in their warm-weather training camp in Spain.
Further appointments could follow, with the club also likely to be looking at a first-team performance analyst to replace Ben Parker, who's another to have followed Martin to St Mary's.
