Michael Conlan claimed opponent Leigh Wood is "f*****" after the pair were involved in a tense stare down following Friday's weigh-in.
The pair came in under the 126lbs limit ahead of their WBA world featherweight title showdown in Nottingham.
A raucous crowd provided a firecracker atmosphere as both men went head-to-head on the stage.

Conlan believes the pressure is starting to get to champion Wood who is set to make the first defence of the title he won last September.
"He's f******. He's f****** and he's f***** tomorrow," Conlan told Matchroom Boxing.
"He s*** himself there. He went head-to-head and he didn't even push. He leaned in and backed off as soon as he got pushed back.
"The same thing will happen tomorrow night. He will walk into shots all night."
Asked whether Saturday will be his career-defining win as a professional, Conlan added: "100 per cent. No doubt in my mind.
"I destroy Leigh Wood tomorrow night."
Conlan claimed the champion looked like "death warmed up" as they weighed in for their world title fight.
The Belfast challenger will be a marginal favourite for his first world title tilt and when the pair faced off in a heated clash at the weigh-in, he aimed a repeated threat at his rival, shouting: "Death warmed up, death warmed up."
Wood quickly fired back, responding: "Skinny little rat, I'm coming for you."
Conlan continued his trash talking by saying: "Look at that rat on your head, you're f*****. I am going to destroy you in your home city. There's more people out here for me."
The featherweight stars leant into each other touching heads which quickly saw them dragged away from each other by security to loud cheers from the crowd.
