Former President Donald Trump’s first criminal trial is expected to take six to eight weeks, from start to finish.
Prosecutors are currently in the process of presenting evidence through witness testimony and exhibits. Michael Cohen is anticipated to take the stand on Monday. During the trial, defense attorneys have the opportunity to cross-examine the prosecution’s witnesses with the aim of discrediting their testimony.
According to prosecutor Joshua Steinglass, the Manhattan district attorney's office could conclude presenting their case by the end of the week. The trial is progressing steadily as both sides continue to present their arguments and evidence in court.
