During his testimony, Michael Cohen revealed that he was in London on October 8, where he had multiple phone conversations with Hope Hicks, one of which Donald Trump joined. Cohen also mentioned having a separate conversation with Trump on the same day.
Recalling the events, Cohen stated that he excused himself from a dinner with his family and friends in London to take the calls from Trump. The phone logs indicate two calls between Trump and Cohen, one lasting 4 minutes and 19 seconds, and the other lasting 7 minutes and 46 seconds, both of which have been submitted as evidence.
According to Cohen's testimony, Trump instructed him to contact his media contacts to shape the narrative surrounding a particular issue. Trump allegedly wanted to downplay the situation by framing it as 'locker room talk,' a suggestion that Cohen claimed came from Melania. The objective was to control the story and minimize its impact on Trump and his campaign.
