Jaden Jarmel-Schneider, a paralegal for the DA’s office, testified following Longstreet's appearance in court. During his testimony, phone records detailing conversations involving Donald Trump's former attorney Michael Cohen and various individuals were presented as evidence.
The summaries of the phone records included discussions between Cohen and Dylan Howard, Cohen and David Pecker, Cohen and Keith Schiller, Cohen and Allen Weisselberg, Cohen and Gina Davidson, Cohen and Hope Hicks, Cohen and Gina Rodriquez, and Cohen and Trump.
Of particular interest was an incoming call to Cohen's phone at the precise moment his recording of a conversation with Trump concluded. Prosecutors argued that the recording was cut short due to this incoming call, a claim that the defense had previously contested.
Cohen, who is scheduled to testify in court soon, is anticipated to be a key witness for Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. His testimony is expected to shed light on his involvement in facilitating a $130,000 payment in 2016 to adult actress Daniels, allegedly to prevent her from disclosing a sexual encounter with Trump in the early 2000s.
Following this initial payment, Trump reportedly made subsequent payments of $35,000 to Cohen, who was serving as his personal attorney at the time. Trump has consistently denied the alleged encounter with Daniels.
