Michael Cohen Denies Being Too Busy For Stormy Daniels Payment

Adult film actress Stormy Daniels speaks outside federal court on April 16, 2018, in New York. No one gets under Republican presidential nominee former President Donald Trump's skin quite like

In October 2016, during a questioning session, Michael Cohen was asked about his involvement in finalizing the Stormy Daniels payment and payoff with Mr. Trump. When questioned if he was too busy to handle these matters, Cohen responded that he was not too busy to carry out these tasks. He also confirmed that he was not too occupied to seek approval from Mr. Trump for the payment.

Further in the questioning, Cohen denied ever sending a retainer agreement to Allen Weisselberg, the CFO of the Trump organization at that time. Cohen clarified that there was no legal work for which he was to be compensated, hence no representation agreement was in place to send to Weisselberg.

During the discussion, Cohen mentioned that he was owed $420,000 as reimbursement for certain expenses. When asked about the connection between the $420,000 reimbursement and the retainer agreement, Cohen stated that the reimbursement was unrelated to any retainer agreement.

The questioning shed light on the details surrounding the Stormy Daniels payment and Cohen's interactions with key individuals within the Trump organization. Cohen's responses provided insights into the financial aspects of the situation and clarified his role in the payment process.
