UFC fans are in for a treat in March, as it has been confirmed that Michael Chandler vs Paddy Pimblett is official for UFC London. A lightweight contest with Chandler represents by far the toughest test of the career of ‘Paddy The Baddy’, with MMA fans in for a treat in early 2025.
Michael Chandler vs Paddy Pimblett OFFICIAL For UFC London
UFC London is shaping up to be a historic night of MMA action on UK shores. Although the main event and several other fights are yet to be confirmed, fans are in for a treat with a quite scintillating lightweight contest now officially signed for the card.
That’s right, Michael Chandler vs Paddy Pimblett is official for UFC London on March 22nd. Chandler vs Pimblett could even headline at the O2 Arena in March, depending on whether Leon Edwards features on the card or not. Not to mention a certain Tom Aspinall too.
If neither of Paddy Pimblett‘s fellow British MMA stars have fights booked for UFC London, then it could be his time to shine in a main event 155-pound clash with former UFC Lightweight Title challenger Michael Chandler.
‘Paddy The Baddy’ was last seen in action at UFC 304 in July, submitting Bobby ‘King’ Green in Round 1 of their lightweight contest. Now, it seems that Pimblett could be on course for the biggest fight of his career against veteran Michael Chandler.
Chandler himself only fought recently, losing via unanimous decision to former lightweight king Charles Oliveira at UFC 309. The American has lost four of his last five fights, but remains one of the most dangerous 155-pound fighters on the entire UFC roster.
The Michael Chandler vs Paddy Pimblett fight is a quite magnificent one for UFC London in March. Whether it headlines or not remains to be seen, but it is a quite fascinating lightweight contest between two fighters at polar opposite points in their respective careers. Fascinating.

Will ‘Paddy The Baddy’ Get A UFC Lightweight Title Shot If He Beats Chandler?
Although it has been widely reported by several outlets that Michael Chandler vs Paddy Pimblett is all but confirmed for UFC London in March, we still await an official announcement from UFC President Dana White himself.
Once White confirms the fight is on, then fans can get properly giddy for the lightweight match-up. Whether or not the fight headlines at the O2 Arena on March 22 or not remains to be seen, with some rumours that former welterweight king Leon Edwards could be a potential headliner depending on the opponent.
If Chandler vs Pimblett does go ahead on March 22nd at UFC London, then the winner could be in line for some huge fights going forward in the remainder of the year. For the American, winning is simply a must. At 38-years-old and having lost four of his last five fights, anything but a victory could be curtains for ‘Iron’.
However, the opposite can be said for Paddy Pimblett. If ‘The Baddy’ can defeat Chandler as a slight underdog with the best UFC betting sites, then he could be in line for even bigger fights before the back end of 2025. A win over Chandler means one step closer to the UFC Lightweight Title for ‘Paddy The Baddy’.
That being said, a shot at the 155-pound belt and Islam Makhachev is highly unlikely for Pimblett in 2025. He would certainly need a few more big wins before even thinking about a shot at UFC gold. However, stranger things have happened and he could be knocking on the door if he wins a few more big fights in 2025.
