Manchester United great Michael Carrick has lauded Christian Eriksen, claiming the Dane is so adaptable it doesn't matter what position he's played in.
Eriksen has featured in every game for the Reds so far this campaign. The former Tottenham man, who arrived in the summer from Premier League side Brentford, has registered two assists in eight matches across all competitions.
He has formed a solid partnership in midfield with Scott McTominay and Bruno Fernandes, with Ten Hag's men recovering from a nightmare start to the season to win their last four successive top-flight matches.

The 30-year-old Dane scored a stunning goal in his country's narrow 2-1 defeat to Croatia last week, before starring in Denmark's 2-0 win over World Cup winners France on Sunday night. Eriksen has received widespread praise since his summer switch to Old Trafford, and former United midfielder Carrick has lauded the Reds man for his impact since joining the club.
"I’m not surprised one bit [by Eriksen’s form]. I played against him a lot. I watched him a lot. I like him a lot," Carrick told club media after the Anfield leg of the Legends of the North charity match against Liverpool on Saturday. "He’s a fantastic footballer. He’s clever, he’s smart."
Carrick added: "It almost doesn’t matter what position he plays. He can adapt. He’s just a clever, intelligent footballer with great quality. I was pleased when we signed him, and he’s not surprised me one bit. He’s a top player."
Eriksen is likely to start for United in the Manchester derby on Sunday afternoon, with Ten Hag's men travelling to the Etihad Stadium hoping to secure their fifth successive Premier League victory and inflict a first defeat on rivals City this term.
