Originally portraying Dexter from 2006 to 2013, Hall is looking forward to exploring a new chapter in the character's evolution. Set in 1991, Dexter: Original Sin will focus on Dexter's transition from a student to a vigilante serial killer within the Miami Metro Police Department.

Hall expressed his enthusiasm for the prequel series, noting that it will provide him with a richer understanding of Dexter's backstory, which will inform his portrayal in the upcoming series, Dexter: Resurrection. While details about his return to the franchise remain vague, Hall hinted at the gratifying experience of revisiting the character he has spent so much time with.
Following the success of the original series, Dexter has made a comeback with the spinoff New Blood in 2021. Despite Dexter's multiple on-screen deaths, Hall is excited about the future of the Dexter universe and the opportunity to explore new dimensions of the character.
Dexter: Original Sin is scheduled to premiere on Paramount+ in December, while Dexter: Resurrection is expected to debut in the summer of 2025, offering fans a deeper dive into the complex world of Dexter Morgan.
