Michael Bublé wants to be an 'official Glaswegian' as he shares his love for city

Michael Bublé says he "feels at home" in Glasgow after performing two nights in the city.

The Canadian singer is wanting a petition to become an 'official Glaswegian' as he shares his love for the city with his fans on Twitter.

The star spent two nights in Glasgow as he embarks on a 43 country world tour, playing to buzzing crowds across the globe, however, he may have let slip which city is his favourite after he took to social media to praise Glasgow.

Michael took to Twitter on Friday night after his second and final show in the city, as he wrote: "Petition to be an official Glaswegian because I feel very much at home here."

Excited fans have taken to the comments to share their adoration for the star following his long-awaited return to Scotland since 2019, after Covid delayed his plans to tour.

One replied: "You’re already one in our eyes. I brought my son last night, it was his first ever live concert & the smile on his face was just the most amazing thing!"

A second said: "What a show! I was at the front with my 11 year old son. He is buzzing and I can’t get him to sleep. He’s singing Higher constantly and decided to change his Stagecoach solo to that! He’s also buzzing you gave us one of the facecloths at the end. Thanks for making his night!"

A third fan commented: "Brilliant show and thank you so much for singing me and my husband’s first dance tune! We got tickets to your concert for our first anniversary. My husband had a severe stroke 6 months before our wedding last April and lost his speech but he has recovered."

The iconic Christmas singer made dreams come true after inviting one young fan up onto the stage. A young boy called Daniel was invited up onto the stage after Bublé spotted his sign in the crowd which read: "It's my first concert, can I get a selfie?"

Michael Bublé is continuing the UK leg of his tour in Aberdeen on Saturday night before heading to Newcastle, Nottingham and Cardiff.
