Michael Bublé asked Twitter what he should do in Cardiff and there was one thing people kept mentioning

Canadian singer Michael Bublé is in Wales for a gig on Thursday, May 4, and has been picking the brains of locals to find out where to go and what to do ahead of his performance at Cardiff International Arena. The world-class showman and generally all-round nice guy asked his 2.1 million followers on Twitter to help him out and the people of Wales duly obliged.

The It's a Beautiful Day singer wrote: "Instead of “Googling” I’m going to take it to Twitter. Day off in Cardiff, what should I do?" And the replies came pouring in, with locals effusing about brilliant things to do around the capital as well as further afield.

The crooner, who does not hibernate until the Christmas season contrary to popular belief, is performing at the CIA, almost a year after his last Cardiff performance at the castle, you can read more on that, here. His Higher tour celebrates 20 years since the release of his debut album.

Bublé had no shortage of recommendations, from requests to visit local schools, head down west for the day and pick up some Welsh cakes at the central market. One destination did stand out, though, as many people encouraged him to pop to St Fagans National Museum of History - which details the Welsh lifestyle, culture and architecture.

One responder, Wayne Courtney, gave Bubs a whole schedule within the Twitter character limit, with a few song puns chucked in for good measure, writing: "It’s A Beautiful Day (hey hey) so head over St Fagans and if your Feeling Good take a stroll along the Taff Trail. I know that @JAYFABPAGE Haven’t Met You Yet so drop into @thebotanistuk for top notch grub & cocktails. Nip over to @MarysCardiff but Save The Last Dance For Me!"

He wasn't the only one suggesting St Fagans with Tomos Evans tweeting: "How about a visit to @StFagans_Museum ? Great way to find about the history of Cymru Or if the weather’s nice a stroll down the seafront in Penarth or Cardiff Bay?"

Phil Jones replied with an offer that we're not sure how Buble could refuse: "Definitely @StFagans_Museum for the day. If you want a guide I know someone who has taken many school trips there & is available to give you a tour. She also has a annual pass so you can car pool without paying for parking."

Other people were also keen for the singer to try chicken curry at Dorothy's on Caroline Street, visit the various castles in the area and pop to Barry Island for a coffee at Marco's. Where would you suggest Michael visit while he's in Cardiff? Let us know in the comments below.
