Michael Bisping's wife defends Jake Paul in front of UFC legend after bitter row

Michael Bisping 's wife has come to Jake Paul 's defence following the YouTube star's bitter row with the UFC legend.

Paul recently got into a spat Bisping after including the now-retired UFC champion on a 'hitlist' of potential opponents for his next fight. They teased a potential fight but their row ended with Bisping telling Paul to seek a fight with Anderson Silva instead.

Matchroom Boxing boss Eddie Hearn recently told Paul that he would " never be a world champion " and the promoter's comments were criticised by Bisping's wife, Rebecca, during a livestream on the Brit's YouTube channel.

"Everyone stop with the Jake Paul hate, I think it's a bit silly now," she told Bisping. "Imagine how you would feel if someone said that to you when you were trying your hardest to become what you are today. If someone like Dana White said that to you, how would you feel?

"No matter how rich or successful he is, I think we need to humanise him for a minute. I know he takes a lot but he is a human at the end of the day and we need to take his feelings into consideration."

Bisping then said Paul can't expect to bad-mouth fighters without getting a response. The former middleweight champion thinks said Paul is purposely targeting retired fighters and is making a "mockery" out of them. "He's going around disrespecting people, he's talking a lot of s***," Bisping said. "He's trying to make a mockery out of people who are retired, he's talking s*** so fair game. You've got to expect s*** talk back, that's the way it goes. S*** flows both ways."

Bisping was in talks to fight Paul last year but turned down a $500,000 offer and 'The Problem Child' went on to face Ben Askren instead. Paul admitted that he has a problem in his head after calling out a several UFC stars such as Bisping and vowed to beat them all.

"These guys who think they're so tough, these UFC champions who think they're so tough, I'll beat the f*** out of all of them," Paul told Mirror Fighting. "I've got time to do it, I'm young, I've got time! "You see, I have a f***ing problem in my head. If someone talks s***, let's f***ing settle it in the ring. So any of them can get it, as fast as we can get these deals done, I'm knocking them all out. Bisping wants to talk s***? Cool, let's get in the ring motherf***er!"
