Michael Beale told to replace Alfredo Morelos with current ace as Rangers don't 'owe him anything'

Michael Beale is being urged to replace Alfredo Morelos at Rangers with a striker already in the building at Ibrox.

The Colombian hitman has returned to some level of form since Beale arrived in Glasgow but has had a turbulent season all told after Gio Van Bronckhorst faced injury and attitude issues with the 26-year-old earlier in the campaign. Morelos was left out of a Champions League squad last year but has nine goals across all competitions in 32 appearances in light blue.

But Beale has options with the returning Antonio Colak who seemed to be the number one choice prior to getting injured leading up to the World Cup break. But the English gaffer, according to former Celtic star Frank McAvennie, should not sleep on ace Robbie Ure who has impressed in the B team at Ibrox.

Ure also made two appearances for the first team with an early goal against Queen of the South in the Viaplay Cup catching the eye. McAvennie told Football Insider:" “I would have him in the team. I have heard about this boy. If it is all true, even if it is half true then I would get him in.

“Rangers do not owe anything to Morelos now because of what his attitude has been. If this boy can come in and do it why not put him in.

“I would give him a chance. because I would rather pay him money than give Morelos a showcase. I would give him a chance and I would give him a contract.

“They will be wanting to play other players so that they can sell them. He has not done anything yet but he deserves a chance.“
