Michael Beale will want to 'get rid' of up to five players at Rangers and the boss has no time to waste with Celtic on form.
That is the view of former Ibrox defender Alan Hutton who has backed the Englishman to make good on his word of a summer overhaul in Glasgow. Rangers face a starting eleven worth of players out of contract with bigger names such as Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos looking dead set to leave in the summer for pastures new. For veterans Allan McGregor, Scott Arfield, Ryan Jack and Steven Davis the picture is less clear.
Yet Beale has offered Rangers fans clarity in recent weeks saying in the cases of Kent and Morelos that things were 'mutual' but the likes of Scott Wright and Jon McLaughlin are two names reportedly being trimmed. Hutton insists it needs to be more than that due to time constraints when managing Rangers and rivals Celtic.

He told Football Insider: “It will be very difficult. You normally want two or three windows to get your team set how you would want it. The problem with Rangers and Celtic is that you do not get that time.
“It is a massive overturn in players, seven out of contract, three, four or maybe even five that Michael Beale would want to get rid of to free up space for new players.
“One of the biggest things is the type of player that he is going for. Young guys that need to come in and hit the ground running, there is no time to get used to it.
“Beale will do his best to fix the problem that he has inherited [at Rangers] so it is a huge summer coming up.“
Beale said this week on Kent and Morelos: "They've been two fantastic players for the club. Both represented the club very well and been important players for a number of years.
"In terms of their situation there is nothing to speak about really big outside other than we've had the conversations inside and are mutually in the same place on what should happen.
"We haven't come forward with a contract offer for either and both have been free to speak to other clubs for a while now. But in terms of the next five games they are Rangers players and will continue to be so until anything is announced officially."
