Rangers have started the process of dismantling Giovanni van Bronckhorst's backroom staff. The club are in talks to agree terminations with a number of their coaching staff.
Fellow Dutchmen Dave Vos and Roy Makaay are amongst those who look set to leave Ibrox imminently. Van Bronckhorst took the pair to Ibrox but he left as manager earlier this week on a dramatic Monday.
Goalkeeping coach Colin Stewart continued his role following van Bronckhorst's arrival. He was promoted from the academy five years ago when Graeme Murty when was in charge and continued under Steven Gerrard so Michael Beale, if he is to be the new man, will know all about the 42-year-old's qualities. Rangers are trying to clear the decks as they close in on their new manager with a deal for Queens Park Rangers boss Beale edging closer. But they have yet to make an official approach to QPR, who are resigned to losing their boss.
