MICHAEL BEALE has challenged Rangers to right the wrongs of their campaign and end the season with silverware ahead of their Scottish Cup clash with Celtic.
Rangers head into the semi-final meeting knowing that a third derby defeat under Beale's guidance would see their Old Firm rivals move to the brink of another domestic clean sweep.
Beale suffered an agonising loss in the League Cup final earlier this term and his side now sit 13 points adrift in the Premiership following their defeats at Parkhead and Pittodrie in recent weeks.
It will be a summer of significant change at Ibrox as the Englishman overhauls the squad that he inherited from Giovanni van Bronckhorst and brings the curtain down on several Rangers careers.
Beale will have Connor Goldson, Ryan Kent and Scott Wright fit for the Old Firm showdown and is fully aware of the significance of a fixture that will shape the mood of supporters during the close-season break.
Beale said: "It's a huge game, we know that. This season has been a rough ride for the fans I think, and this is a chance for us to put a few wrongs right in this game.
"It is just one game, but I think it would have a big impact on the season if we were to win and go back to the Scottish Cup final again.
"Just need to bring the best of ourselves. The games have been reasonably tight and they've been won and lost on mistakes.
"It's important that we bring our best effort and we bring our best performance. Again, the penalty boxes will be decisive.
"In the game a couple of weeks ago, I thought we performed quite well overall, but we just need to eradicate one or two things defensively I think.
"These players have won these games before, they’ve gone on long runs of being unbeaten in these games. Listen, we'll see, see where we are after Sunday. It's clearly a big game.
"Listen, in this game, it's always important to win. We've been bitterly disappointed this season with the way it's gone.
"We have two more opportunities, but let's just deal with this one that's in front of us. This is a huge game."
