He's had his say on Alfredo Morelos - now Michael Beale has opened the door to more Rangers questions according to one pundit.
The Ibrox boss has confirmed the fiery Colombian will leave Glasgow when his contract expires at the end of the season, following a Premiership substitute appearance against Aberdeen that left him far from impressed. He said 'you saw a difference when Alfredo came on in terms of energy and not a positive difference' in a cutting assessment of the forward who arrived from Helsinki in 2017.
But Record Sport columnist Tam McManus wonders why if it is the case that the forward is leaving, how did Morelos ended up on the park in the and where were potential youngsters willing to step up and fill his void. He told PLZ: "I think Beale is speaking candidly and honestly but I think the Rangers fans have seen it all season - he (Morelos) has not been at it.
"He doesn't look fit, doesn't look hungry. So I totally agree with him (Beale) there, but why is he playing him?
"He's put him on the pitch. Is there not a young player? Is there not a boy in the B team that's hungry and got a future, why's he playing Morelos?
"He's not going to be there. So I don't agree with Michael Beale there, he obviously doesn't rate him, he's not going to be there and he slaughtered him after the game, why's he putting him on?"
