Michael Beale's Rangers can talk the talk but can't walk the walk as Hotline names 7 Ibrox flops to be shown the door

Celtic may have dropped two points against Motherwell but it was Michael Beale and Rangers who faced recriminations after defeat at Aberdeen.

The Hoops are now one win away from sealing the Premiership title and the Ibrox fans are far from happy. Andrew Adams, Kirkcaldy, said: "If Beale even thinks about signing Malik Tilman he should be shown the door, the guy's a liability. But he's not alone, there are up to half a dozen who are not up to it. Fashion Sakala, John Souttar, Rabbi Matondo, Allan McGregor, Ben Davis and Alfredo Morelos. I can go on, it's pathetic."

Andrew Lamb, Fraserburgh, said: "All credit to Aberdeen who thoroughly deserved their win. As for Rangers, I say again, that front line is not good enough. Sakala, Tillman, Todd Cantwell and Morelos were all anonymous." Eddie Easson, Ballingry, said: "Aberdeen brought Beale’s Rangers back to reality. They haven’t beaten Celtic nor the form team in Scotland, Aberdeen. Beale and his backroom staff can talk the talk but they can’t walk the walk."

Denis Bruce, Bishopbriggs, said: "That Celtic result has been coming at least since the last Ross County game. Celtic have been too sloppy, winning games by the odd goal thanks to the failure of their opposition to take their chances. Could there be worse in the offing?"

Gordon Stuart, Blantyre, said: "Rangers 'are coming for Celtic' on Sunday according to Neil Banfield. I am not sure who is in charge of media relations in the Big Hoose but surely these guys need to be reined in as they are setting the Rangers up for a fall before a ball is kicked. As is often said, sometimes it’s best to say nothing and play stupid than open your mouth and remove all doubt."

John Kearney said: "Will the Police be investigating the sniper at Celtic park on Saturday as several Motherwell players appeared to have been shot. They went down with nobody near them or was this a blatant attempt at time wasting which by the way went unpunished."

Jamie Thompson, Clydebank, said: "It's been another not very good season for Rangers with far too many mistakes and a few players who are just not good enough and there has been a lack of quality signings. The defence on occasion have been really poor and there are question marks on leadership off and on the field. This Ranger's squad has one last opportunity to give something back to their loyal fans in the shape of the Scottish Cup."

Rangers Manager Michael Beale (SNS Group)

Jimmy Murray, Edinburgh, said: "Just think. Eddie Howe could have been managing Celtic in the Mickey Mouse league alongside failed coaches John Kennedy and Gordon Strachan. Instead they got Ange Postecoglou who is absolutely clueless tactical wise as was proved against Motherwell. He hasn’t a clue how to change a game when things aren't working and his treatment of David Turnbull is disgraceful. He’s the best midfielder at the club."

Shay O’Leary, Lennoxtown, said: "Hotline caller Chris Lowe from Yoker should consider that £10m for Liel Abada, a 21 year old winger with plenty of goals and assists this season, would be a very reasonable deal. Unlike the £15m we’ve seen previously being quoted for three goals a season Ryan Kent, who statistically isn’t anywhere close to his teammate Fashion Sakala. Neither Rangers player is close statistically to Abada who is a reserve player."

Kevin Lord, Drylaw, said: "I know James Jeggo won't get his red card rescinded, but Hibs have to appeal the dismissal at St Johnstone on Saturday, if only to highlight the atrocious level of officiating in the Scottish Premiership."

Arthur Wyllie said: "The last word on the Graeme Shinnie farce. If this instance had occurred during a Scotland international game, the SFA would, no doubt, have put their full weight behind an appeal to get their player's red card cancelled."

John Martin, Dundee, said: "When will Dundee get rid of Gary Bowyer? Tactically he doesn't have a clue .We should have had the league tied up by now, but we cannot defend at set pieces as our goals against record will show. Most games he plays with one up front, no wonder if this was his tactics down south he was binned from every job he had. It's time for Dundee to become another club that has binned him because all he's interested in is players nobody wants in lower English divisions."

Gary Stevenson, Newtonhill, said: "So the SFA chose to play the Women's Scottish Cup Semi Final at Hampden where there was a crowd of 1,526 in attendance. It's time to get real. My grandsons Boys Brigade Team would pull in a bigger crowd"
