Michael Beale reveals Alfredo Morelos Rangers frustration despite Hearts brace

MICHAEL BEALE doesn't mind Alfredo Morelos being left frustrated after being denied the chance of a Tynecastle hat-trick.

And the Ibrox boss is just pleased to see his star striker enjoying his football as he shows signs that he is getting back towards his best for Rangers.

Morelos netted a clinical brace in the 3-0 win over Hearts on Wednesday night and produced another impressive all-round showing.

Rangers are still nine points adrift of Celtic in the Premiership title race but are now unbeaten in eleven matches under Beale's guidance.

Morelos remains an integral part of the Rangers attack and Beale is confident there is plenty more to come from him in the coming weeks.

Beale said: "He’s very happy and if he’s happy then I’m happy for him. He’s playing well. A lot is thrown at him but the boy we see every day, he seems very calm and is enjoying his football.

"He could have had three or four at the weekend. I mentioned that and he rewarded us.

"He’s frustrated because I’ve brought him off on two goals with 15 minutes to go again. He gave me that little look but I’m keeping him on his toes.

"He always does that celebration. I don’t think he knows where he’s running. VAR stops you celebrating in the moment.

"The whole bench and players aren’t sure that’s the only thing that’s a setback on that.

"They (Morelos and Sakala) are making it tough for me. Cantwell was our best player on the weekend. I wanted to give him a chance to see what it’s like from the side.

"To leave him out was difficult but the other three have been so good for me so you have to earn the shirt. Kamara scored and probably should have had an assist."
