Michael Beale makes Rangers demand after stroll against Hearts

MICHAEL BEALE will continue to demand even more from Rangers despite seeing his side ease to a commanding win over Hearts.

Alfredo Morelos netted in either half and Malik Tillman was also on target as Rangers were denied by the offside flag and VAR checks on several occasions.

Beale now has ten wins from his eleven matches in charge since he succeeded Giovanni van Bronckhorst as manager in December and momentum is building after an impressive start to live as boss.

The Tynecastle triumph was the most complete and impressive showing of his reign and Rangers should have won by a greater margin on the night.

But Beale still wants to see his side raise their levels once again as he seeks to continually hit new heights at Ibrox during the second half of the campaign.

Beale said: "I was really pleased with the display playing opponents who are riding high and coming into the game with lots of confidence.

"We knew we had to be at our very best out of possession. We were excellent in terms of regains and caused lots of problems for Hearts.

"Where we played caused problems. We had to be good defensively and won a lot of the duels.

"Away from home it was a different type of game. Teams come to you a bit more, the crowd get up and they anticipated a performance from their team so we had to be good defensively.

"We showed a different side. We weren’t quite so slow and went for the kill quickly. I picked a team to score goals Ryan, Fashion and Alfredo were fantastic.

"I just said to them they have set a good standard but I still want more because we could have scored more.

"Zander Clark had good game but we were wasteful at times. We did good things well and we should demand more from each other.

"At the weekend we missed eight to ten chances and tonight a lot of our approach and defending was fantastic but we should keep rewarding ourselves in the final third. I was delighted with three but it could have had more."
