Michael Beale in detailed Rangers injury update as he labels Alex Lowry the 'future' at Ibrox

Michale Beale has labelled Alex Lowry the 'future' at Rangers as he provided an injury update on his squad.

The Light Blues boss says Glen Kamara has been playing through the pain barrier and should have had an operation in the last few months but has put that to one side to help the Ibrox side. Alfredo Morelos is another playing with a minor injury while Antonio Colak and Kemar Roofe miss out on Friday - but there is hope both could return on the 28th.

The games come thick and fast for the new boss with his side travelling to Dingwall to face Ross County on Friday night. He's made the perfect start results wise picking up two wins from two games. Both matches with Hibs and Aberdeen have tested Rangers and they've had to come from behind in the matches to secure three points. Supersub Scott Arfield was the hero at Pittodrie as he netted an incredible stoppage time double to flip the game on its head and send the away section of the ground wild after a 3-2 success. He is likely to earn himself a starting slot with the manger revealing he will make five changes.

One player who is continuing to impress is youngster Lowry with Beale predicting a huge football for the Ibrox star. He believes there are parts of his game that are outstanding, but also areas he must improve. The challenge for him now is to prove to the new boss how much he wants it by earning the right each day in training.

Speaking in his media conference, he said: There will be five changes tomorrow. I think [Connor] Goldson will be able to feature again, Ben (Davies) is now available to play.

"Tav has been off twice with illness and travelled on his own the other day, he is better now. [Glen]Kamara probably should have had an operation the last few months but has been playing through.

"Alfredo has played through the pain barrier and has been playing through a minor injury. [Antonio] Colak won't be ready tomorrow with his calf problem, he will hopefully be back for 28th along with [Kemar] Roofe.

"Scott Arfield is an outstanding person, super positive and I love working with him. He was super frustrated and took it out in the right way, he could have scored four! He knows I trust him."

On Lowry, he added: "[Alex] Lowry is close, there are areas outstanding and other areas he can improve. I expect him to in the future to stay in this team.

"Alex is not too far away, he is heading in the right direction and I think is the future at Rangers. He has to go earn it every day in training"
