Michael Beale insists he's "more confident today" of Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent penning new Rangers deals than he was previously.
The Gers attackers are both out of contract this summer and are currently free to speak to other clubs about their futures.
The duo have been key figures at Ibrox for a number of years now and they have featured heavily under Beale since his arrival as Gers boss.
The manager revealed that talks over fresh deals are ongoing for both players, but there's no news imminent.
But in a bullish comment, Beale admitted he's feeling increasingly confident that they Morelos and Kent could extend their stays.
He said: "The talks are ongoing. The clubs know my feeling on it. The players and their representatives are talking. I think the way this club ends the season will determine everything for more than just those players. There's a lot to play for at this moment.
"We know the emotions in this city based on where you finish and whether you hold a trophy above your head between now and the end of the season. I think that has a big part to play in terms of the makeup of our squad next year. Certainly, any comments I have made recently are not to suggest I'm less confident, if anything, I'm more confident today.
"The talks have been ongoing all of the time. What I try to do is give them room to breathe a little bit. We have had to win every game that's in front of us both in the league and the cup competitions and we have a cup final coming up.
"We have a big away game at the weekend. Now is not the time for me to be giving any ultimatums. We have to focus on what's in front of us and if we do well it makes everything easier.
"I think they are playing better now. If the team is winning and everyone is playing well, everything feels nice in the world. We know that it can change in 90 minutes so it's important we keep focused on the games."
